of Anoka Tours
The very popular “Ghosts of Anoka” tour will be available on the first and the third Thursday and Saturday of each month,
beginning
June 1st at 7:30pm. This
walking tour of downtown Anoka is offered by the Anoka County Historical
Society.
June 1, 3, 15, 17 - 7:30 pm - GHOSTS OF ANOKA TOUR Meet at the History Center. Tickets required.
This special Ghost Tour takes guests to places where something unexplained has happened and lets them decide what it might be! This tour is just over
a mile long and is in the twilight and evening hours. Adult tickets are $6 for non-members, $5 for members and $3 for children under 18 years.
Get your tickets early as we sell out of these popular tickets fast! Remember we can now accept VISA and Mastercard.
Have you ever entered a dark, empty room only to see a shadow scurry aside? Or the hair on the back of your neck rises for no reason you can see?
Or maybe you’ve felt an icy draft or had an eerie feeling as you pass a certain place? You are not alone!
Stories abound in Anoka of odd happenings and eerie encounters. There is a house where the rocking chair rocks with no one sitting in it.
A business in town has employees who won’t enter parts of the building because of the woman seen only in a mirror. Doors that lock themselves,
displays that change on their own, cold drafts…..might they all speak of things unexplained?
Adventurous types will want to join the Anoka County Historical Society on the Ghosts of Anoka tour. The tour will begin and end at the History Center,
and will start promptly at 7:30pm. It is a skillful weaving together of history, conjecture, and fact, sprinkled with a flair for the dramatic and seasoned by
good story telling.
Come explore and wonder with ACHS as we take a very different look at history! Tickets are available in advance at the History Center during regular hours.
The tour is limited to 24 people. Tickets are $6.00 for adults, $5.00 for ACHS members (must show membership card), and $3.00 for children.
The tour route is 15 blocks around Anoka city streets and lasts about one hour and a half.
If your group of 15 or more would like to book a special Ghosts of Anoka tour just for your group, please contact ACHS to make a reservation.
The History Center is located at 2135 Third Avenue North in downtown Anoka and is open Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.,
